Health Project outside BPHS

This project is consist of 23 health facilities located in white areas, which are not covered by BPHS strategy, so SCA will provide support to these facilities till handing over to other organizations who will sign contract for the said areas in the future.

This project will be managed by a small management team attached to HTSU including (Project Manager, MCH Chief Officer, HMIS/Program Chief Officer and six trainers/ supervisors). To build the staff capacity a training center will be functional in Kabul and provide planned training for the staff.

Location of the project: In 5 provinces located in South-east and Central regions

Total Districts:

Kabul- Khaki jabar, Sarobi, Shakerdara, Qarabagh, and District 13 of Kabul city
Ghazni-Jaghatu, Waghaz
Khost - Tani,Spera,Mandozai,Alishir, Nadirshahkoot, Musakhil, Sabari and Jajimaidan
Pakteya Jaji -Alikhil, Ahmadkhil and Dandi-Patan
Paktika Zeruk - Gomal ,Sarobi ,Matakhan and Mamorkhil
Total population covered by the project:400, 000
Donor: Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA)
Total Number of health Facilities: 23 (4 comprehensive Health Centers (CHCs), 19 Basic Health Center (BHCs), in 4 CHC there will be Emergency Obstetric centers and 10 BHC will provide Mother and Child Health services and 34 Health Posts.
