SCA donates equipment to hospital after fire

The fire started at 2:00 pm and after the fire was put out around at 12:00 am, the hospital building was burnt down to the ground. The Mazar-I-Sharif Provincial hospital was established in 1941 and has 300 beds, 10 surgery rooms and the hospital covers 75 % of all patients in the Northern Provinces.
Swedish Committee for Afghanistan was one of many organisations that contributed in the relief efforts by donating various equipment to the hospital to .
SCA has donated following medical materials and equipments.
1 Blood Bank, medicines, 6 Hand wash Basins, 2 Auto Clave, 500 Covering Pack, 2 Suction Pumps, 2 OP Lamps, 2000 Surgical Sheets, 2015 Elastic Bandages, 4000 Wash Cloths, 50 Pillows, 2400 Pelvic Protectors, 2 Shower Equipments, 6 Medial Care, 20 Sphygmonmano and190 Cold Protective Blankets.
The value of donated materials more then five million Afghanis (approximately $ 100 000)
All the material and equipment was handed over by Eng Safawi, SCA’s Acting Regional Director in the Northern Regional Office (NRO) and by Najibullah Yazdanpanh, Rehabilitation of Afghans with Disabilities (RAD) Manager, to the Head of Mazar Public Hospital.
