SCA celebrated International Women’s Day in Kabul

SCA celebrated International Women’s Day in Kabul

Both female and male SCA staff participated in the celebration of the International Women's Day.

The 8th of March the SCA staff was invited to celebrate the International Women's Day in Kabul Management Office (KMO). The theme of the ceremony was “Women’s rights in the Holy Koran” and there were both women and men attending the celebration ceremony. The Gender & Human Rights Unit at KMO had invited speakers to talk about various topics. Among the speakers Mr Moyen Ahmad, SCA School Consultant from the Southern Regional Office was talking about "The conditions of women before Islam" and Ms Aquila, School Consultant from Southern Regional Office that spoke about "History of Women in diffrent countries".


International Women’s Day is a universal day that connects all women around the world and collectively working for women's equality worldwide. The participation of all Afghan women and men that participated in the celebration this day showed that Afghanistan is also a part of the international community. This celebration will also be follwed up with seminars and discussion forums led by the Gender & Human Right's Unit in the near future.
