SCA celebration - 23 years in Afghanistan

The festivities were opened with a speech from Country Director, Mr Jesper Jensen, who spoke about Afghanistan. He said that he looks upon Afghanistan with confidence and great hope for the future. Over 100 staff from SCA had gathered in the big hangar behind the Kabul Management Office for the celebration.

The SCA staff was participating in various games; arm wrestling, sack jumping competition and rope pulling competition. Each of the staff each won a price from the SCA lottery and the prices varied from textile cloths, shampoo, the cups, bicycles and washing machines.

SCA also passed out brass plates to staff that have been working in the organisation for 15 years – for a long and faithful service in SCA. The celebration was rounded up with a big SCA birthday cake and tea party.

The same celebrations will also take part in all three of the SCA regional offices this coming period – Northern Regional Office (NRO) in Pul-i-Khumri, Eastern Regional Office (ERO) in Kabul and Southern Regional Office (SRO) in Ghazni.
