Updated score on the vote countingOctober 19, 2004 On October 9, approximately 4,900 polling centers with 22,000 polling stations were operational in all districts of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces. In the largest out-of-country voting operation ever, 2,800 polling stations served refugees in Iran and Pakistan. Ballots are counted at counting centers in Kabul, Mazar-I-Sharif, Kandahar, Jalalabad, Kunduz, Bamyan, Herat and Gardez. |
